When I was in Year 10, a classmate sent me a meme.
It was nothing too dire - just a cat falling off a cupboard.
For many, this might not seem like a big deal, but for me, it was the first moment in my life when I felt genuinely included.
Even now, I often have days when I am denied that feeling.
That evening will forever remain one of the most memorable moments of my life.
This is why I have started The ALAN Project - if the work we do leads to more people experiencing genuine inclusion, then we know we are on the right path 💚
